David Bernknopf is a National Investigative Producer for Sinclair Broadcast Group's Sunday morning news program Full Measure.
A founding employee of CNN, David wrote and produced virtually all types of programming at the network over more than 21 years. During those years, he won national Emmys for helping produce major news events, a National Headliner Award and the Edward R. Murrow award.
He filled many key roles at CNN, from writer to documentary and political news producer before eventually serving as CNN's first Vice President and Director of News Planning. His documentary work often focused on the personal consequences of major economic and political changes and included projects from Cuba to Northern Ireland to the Middle East and all across the United States.
He also helped create CNN's first internal ethics review system.
After leaving CNN, he co-founded SplendidVid, a boutique national video production firm with projects from California to Sri Lanka.
During that time, David served as a contributing editor, a writer and photographer for Travelgirl magazine, a columnist on legal issues and the media for The Fulton Daily Report in Atlanta and as a contributing reporter on economic issues for the national bridal trade magazine Vows.
