Batt Humphreys is the Executive Producer of Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson. Prior to joining the Sinclair Broadcast Group, he served in several executive roles with CBS News. As an Executive Producer he was in charge of The CBS Early Show, charged with transforming that broadcast to conform with a revised editorial focus on original and hard news reporting for the network. That drew early and rare positive attention from the New York Times and National Journal, as well as other publications.
He created and implemented the Network's Social Media policy and worked directly on integration and education through multiple corporate entities to ensure compliance with journalistic standards and personal responsibility of engaging in multi-platform news reporting.
Batt managed a large and diverse staff of correspondents and producers around the world during some of the most critical events of our time, including lead coverage of the early hours of September 11, 2001, several wars, multiple presidential elections and every natural catastrophe known to Man or Nature.
During over 30 years in the news business, he worked from small market affiliates to the network working as a photographer, field reporter, producer, senior producer and executive producer.
Batt has also redirected a journalist's passion for reporting, to fiction. He has written two novels. His first Dead Weight, was the winner of several national awards. The second entitled Affair&Honor: Jack Kennedy in World War II was recently released.
